The Owl brought up Sekiro. He sort of plays a foster-father role to the protagonist. This character picked up Sekiro on the battlefield and raised him as a Shinobi.

While Owl was training Sekiro and teaching him techniques, maybe he got to spar with this character or had some sort of menial relationship with Lady Butterfly through the foster-father figure.
