Lore

Raulmond was a knight of Drangleic who gave his life defending the Fort in the Forest of Fallen Giants, most likely in the war against the Giants. Raulmond cherished a magical ring called the Dragon Ring that provided him with the protection of the Dragons, increasing his life, stamina and vitality. The description of the Dragon Rings implies that Raulmond maintained a long period of service to King Vendrick before he was finally defeated.

Dragons were the symbol of Drangleic and their importance in its history is unknown. However, the fact that the symbol of Drangleic is a pair of dragons indicates this ring may not have been unique to Raulmond.

Theories

Raulmond was Drummond's father.

The only evidence being the similarity in their names and the fact that they were both knights of Drangleic who fought in the fort against the Giants, and we know that Drummond's ancestors served Drangleic for generations, principally as defenders of the great fort.
