Old Yharnam

Old Yharnam is an abandoned district located in the valleys of Yharnam. Since the town was set to flame long ago, most buildings are in a decaying state. The town is currently inhabited by dangerous creatures who have placed several hanging corpses on the buildings as a warning to those who dare to enter this forsaken town.

It burned to the ground on a moonlit light when the great bridge to Cathedral Ward was blocked because the Healing Church left when the hunt began.

Djura stands atop a tower, ready to shoot any trespassers. The Blood-starved Beast lurks in a ruined church at the bottom of the area.

All over Old Yharnam you can find figures wearing red robes who are strung up and hanging upside down.

Some believe that these hanging corpses are Pthumerians whose blood has been harvested.

In favor of this theory is that the corpses are very tall , but this increased size could also be a symptom of the Scourge of Beasts.

Charred Hunter Set
One of the staple articles of hunter attire, fashioned at the workshop.
A product of the scourge of the beast that once plagued Old Yharnam and culminated in the town's fiery cleansing.
Designed to be highly resistant to fire. Wearers of this attire hunted down victims of the scourge who survived the raging flames and stench of singed blood.
