The Disciple of God teaches basic miracles, in exchange for souls to players with high Faith.

A disciple is one who learns from another for the purpose of eventually teaching others. Thus, he is a disciple of Saint Urbain's teachings. He is a common priest, a warrior of the Church, as he wears chain mail, carries a mace, and knows only a few minor miracles. He appears on the left side of the bottom floor of the Nexus.

If the player does not rescue Saint Urbain before the Old Hero is killed and they talk to the Disciple, he will take it upon himself to rescue Saint Urbain and he leaves the Nexus. It is assumed he dies or loses his sanity in this attempt as he is never heard from again. If Saint Urbain is rescued, he will also disappear from the Nexus.

After first Archstone (faith below 10):
"A warrior from afar, are you? May you enjoy victory in battle. Umbasa."

After first Archstone (faith above 10):
"Oh, you must be another disciple of God. I, too, am on a quest to fight the Demons in the name of the Lord. May I share God's power with you? Do not be bashful; we are both cut from the same cloth. A miracle is a heavenly act, but spells are the acts of Demons, the work of soul arts. They have similar effects, and yet, one is clearly evil, and the other is clearly good. Magicians, in the end, are mere servants of the Demons."

Upon returning:
"Oh, fellow disciple, you seek the power of God?"

After an Archstone (4?):
"Do you seek the power of God? Do you know Saint Urbain? Saint Urbain is a true sage. He can hear the voice of God. But that despondent disciple over there claims that he has fallen in a trap behind the altar. I hate to think that such misfortune could have befallen so eminent a man! We intend to leave shortly for the altar, to rescue Saint Urbain. God has ordered it done, and we are His disciples. I am afraid we may not meet again for quite some time."

Upon leaving without doing business:
"I see. You wish to train yourself in stoicism. Very well. I pray we meet again."

Upon leaving while talking:
"Now, come back; I am still speaking. That hardly befits an honourable warrior such as yourself."

Though they are not metal, they have a high defensive aspect.
These shoes are widely worn by soldiers of the church.

Heal
A very elementary miracle
Recovers the users HP.
A simple expression of God's power. Holy warriors call upon this miracle during their lonely journeys.

Sage Freke Dialogue
Do you have a connection to the disciples?
Do not pay attention to them if they speak poorly of me and my magic.
Prayer is for the foolish, quaint, and soon-to-be dead.
And heaven forbid the day you find out what their so-called God really is…
