The Pyromancer Carmina was the most accomplished pupil of Salaman, when he came back and started passing on his knowledge of Pyromancy to the people of the Great Swamp.

Carmina is considered a pioneer, creating new directions in the art of pyromancy. She was able to harness the power of the pyromancy flame in order to actualize the inner self. This is, to applicate the flame to one's own self, granting new powers and abilities. She's known to have created three pyromancies: Flash Sweat, Iron Flesh, and Power Within.

The name 'Carmina', from the hebrew Karmel and mostly proper of hispanic cultures, seems to reference the color Carmine, a deep and dark red pigment.

The pyromancy Power Within is found on a hanging corpse next to the Parasitic Wall Hugger in Blighttown. This may have been Carmina's end (as her other two known pyromancies are sold by Laurentius).
