Matriarch Amiren sundered the Heart of Lathyrus and took half as the Listener's half to protect her people. She was one of the Titans back in the Second Age, now rules the underworld where she stays after that age ended.
According to Bataran, her younger brother, she used to be a great and grand ruler but got blinded by the darkness and became a tyrant.
She also holds Silaren, her young sister, as a slave.
